Journo 101

What's the most important trait of a successful journalist?

Deep insights? Excellent PR skills? The ability to meet tight deadlines?
A photographic memory?
Keeping your cool under extreme pressure? Silky writing skills?
Willingness to protect your sources all the way?
Guile? First-class grammar? An unlimited vocab?

I think it is none of the above.

It is this - Persistence.
The ability not to take no as an answer.

And the diligence to uncover the truth.
