Poor, poor Arsenal

Let's have a minute of silence for all Arsenal fans out there.
The Gunners were 15 minutes away from that magical fifty.
And they were robbed by absymal refereeing from Mike Riley.
First, the refusal to book or send Rio off for that cynical shove on Freddie
Then the poor penalty call on Campbell for the slightest of touches on Rooney.
And to add insult to injury, it had to be Ruud and Rooney to end their run.

Ruud- you deserve the goal, given your huge cock-up in the same fixture last season, but Rooney?! Another goal and soft penalty that will send the 'tua-kang' (big-hole) UK media writing all sorts of hyped up rubbish yet again.

I maintain my stance...

Rooney's crap- over-rated, over-hyped, over-paid, and over-recognised.
Anonymous for the whole game, except for that simple tap-in, which was more Alan Smith magic and vision than birthday boy Rooney's goalmouth excellence.

All said, it looks like Lady Luck has ended another chapter in the EPL history books.

I hope the next one begins with Rafael Benitez and the Reds
You'll never walk alone... but try telling that to the Arsenal fans making their way back from Manchester.

Sheer agony.
